Welcome to Piano Tuition Cardiff. I am Matthew Clayton who is a piano teacher based in Cardiff. I have been teaching pupils for nearly ten years after graduating in Music from Cardiff university in 2009. I teach all pupils at all ability levels from beginners up to grade 8. The piano is a wonderful instrument that can bring great joy to your life. It is a great skill for children to learn as well – they can grow their confidence and self esteem by achieving great success through learning the piano.

Matthew normally delivers one half an hour lesson per week to his pupils at the cost of £13.50. Adult learners and those studying higher grades, sometimes opt for the full hour option at £25
Matthew has taken over 120 pupils successfully through their piano exams. He teaches in a friendly informal manner that seems to work very well with pupils. Music should never feel like a chore – it should be fun and enjoyed. Pupils will need to practise hard to achieve their goals, but the process should be fun. Matthew keeps his lessons fun by teaching in all styles of music – he is just as comfortable teaching pop music as he is classical music. Matthew believes there should be no snobbery in music and enjoys introducing his pupils to a whole world of music.
